MONIQUE COLLIGNON – BRAND STORY
Where Sustainability Meets Couture
At the heart of Monique Collignon’s world lies a mission:
to let creativity flow sustainably, in every imaginable form, and to make this the norm rather than the exception.
Both her Haute Couture and PURE collections honor the seamless harmony between conscious craftsmanship and luxurious design. Every piece reflects her belief that true elegance is timeless, responsible, and crafted with purpose.
A Life Shaped by Creativity
From a young age, it was clear that Monique was destined for fashion.
Creating wasn’t a choice; it was woven into her identity.
After graduating from fashion academy, she launched her own label, quickly gaining recognition for her distinctive vision and technical mastery.
Her expertise led her to design patterns, childrenswear, and sportswear for major brands, including pieces worn by top athletes. After years of freelancing and refining her craft, she boldy introduced her own couture brand, one defined by authenticity, artistry, and a strong sense of identity.

PURE – Fashion With A Conscience
With international top model Yfke Sturm in the lead, Monique created “L’air du Temps”: a short film marking the birth of her Haute Couture collection with the same name.
Through years of joint ventures and close collaborations, she has become an authority in the field of textile recycling, the transformation of plastic waste into luxurious high-quality fabrics, using other recycled fabrics like hemp. For ReShare, The Salvation Army, content from clothes were recycled in Prato into new yarn and fabric. This was used for chino trousers. She lectures globally on design, sustainability and innovation in fashion.
Creative Impact Beyond the Runway
Monique is a familiar face in both Dutch and international media, appearing on TV and in radio programs, news segments, and cultural broadcasts.
She was asked by ANP to provide live commentary for the Royal Wedding dress of Queen Máxima during the Royal Ceremony, collaborated with theaters and productions, and taught workshops from Amsterdam to Hong Kong, Namibia, Kuala Lumpur, and Bangkok.
During the pandemic, she created FashionArt, a profound artistic project featuring 64 well-known women, photographers, and makeup artists.
The project culminated in a major exhibition at the Beurs van Berlage and the publication of a book presented at Hotel Krasnapolsky, Amsterdam, realized in collaboration with hannah Skincare.
The ready- to- wear collection PURE consists of smaller limited-edition styles, which are expanded each season and designed to be combined with earlier pieces.
PURE is about building a wardrobe, stylish, never out of fashion, sometimes with a couture twist.
